Il Duomo di Firenze
The Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore or Il Duomo di Firenze, as it is commonly called, in the center of Florence (Firenze), Italy, is quite a spectacle. The engravings and magnitude of the building are amazing!
Bustling Firenze
The center of Florence (Firenze), Italy - near the Florence Cathedral (in background) - constantly busy and teeming with life!
Il Colosseo
No introduction needed on this piece. But...I will give one, anyway: this is a sepia image of the Colosseum, in Rome, Italy, taken during a trip to Italy in June, 2001. A truly unbelievable place - the architecture, the history, the magnitude of this structure...just incredible!
Domed Building Near Capitol
This image was captured near the Capitol building in Rome, Italy, in June, 2001.
Central Park
When seen and experienced for the first time, Central Park, in New York City, is truly a wonder. A place of tranquility and calm in the center of one of the busiest places on the planet! This is a partial black and white capture of a street sign resting on that junction of peaceful green and hectic metropolis.
Intriguing Ruins
In Arizona and nearby states, there are many Native American ruins. They are very interesting to explore and learn about - certainly quite different from any other type of architecture. This image was captured at Wupatki National Monument, near Flagstaff, AZ. Wupatki is home to over 800 such ruins, built by the Sinagua, Kayenta Anasazi, and Cohonina tribes long ago - a fascinating place to visit!
Placid Pool
This beautiful pool and bridge were one of many similar structures and settings at a very picturesque botanical garden/park named Garvan Woodland Gardens near Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA.
