Love Locks
The romantic trend of young lovers attaching padlocks to statues, streetlights, fences, and posts--called Luccheti d’Amore, in Italian--has spread from Asia into Italy and the rest of the continent. Some cities embrace it and others do all they can to remove, barracade, and fine people attempting it, but the locks continue to go up faster than they can be taken down. It seems the trend is here to stay! Lecce, Italy

The Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore or Il Duomo di Firenze, as it is commonly called, in the center of Florence (Firenze), Italy, is quite a spectacle. The engravings and magnitude of the building are amazing!

Il Colosseo
No introduction needed on this piece. But...I will give one, anyway: this is a sepia image of the Colosseum, in Rome, Italy, taken during a trip to Italy in June, 2001. A truly unbelievable place - the architecture, the history, the magnitude of this structure...just incredible!
